How We Use SMS

We send SMS messages for event invitations, planning confirmations, and related notifications. When you invite friends to plans through Friday, we may send SMS messages on your behalf to those contacts.

Your Consent (Inviter)

Before sending any SMS invitations on your behalf, you will be shown a mandatory consent disclosure. You must actively check the consent checkbox and confirm your intent to send invitations. By doing so, you agree to receive SMS messages from Friday related to event invitations and planning notifications. Message and data rates may apply.

Invitee Consent

When you receive an SMS invitation from Friday on behalf of another user, the message will clearly identify the sender and include opt-out instructions. If you choose to join Friday by clicking the invite link and completing onboarding, you will be presented with an SMS consent disclosure that you must confirm before receiving further SMS messages.

Consent Records

We maintain records of SMS consent, including timestamps, phone numbers, and device/IP information, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Opting Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. For assistance, reply HELP. You may also manage your communication preferences within the app settings or by contacting us directly.
